Eating healthy.
Getting to sleep early and getting up early.
Reading a book.
Doing great outdoor activities (or whatever you enjoy doing).
Not rushing through Morning Prayer (or whatever daily prayer you prefer).
Greeting everyone by looking them in the eyes and smiling.
Time off.
Those are some of the blessings that come to me with time off.
I have all sorts of good intentions of keeping those blessings once I am back to the busyness of work.
Will I succeed?
Usually, little by little, it seems most of those blessings get replaced with stressful, fast paced days.
But I again am going to try to do things differently or intentionally – that’s my intent right now.
So they said to him, "Sir, give us this bread always." Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst."
In this coming Sunday’s Gospel reading, people were looking for Jesus and asked Him questions. They wanted to believe and live close to God.
Jesus told them that God gives Bread from Heaven that gives us life.
Look at the verse above of what they said – give us this bread always, then Jesus tells them He is the life-giving Bread.
As I jump back into the busyness of my life, with all my desire to keep the blessings of time off, I can hear Jesus in the words of this Gospel telling us that He is all the blessing we need.
Jesus, I surrender myself to You.
Take care of everything.
Blessings of Jesus to you!
