Last Monday most of us were off from school or work because of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. He was a man who endured unimaginable racism.
In the past month I have gone to 5 funerals, feeling the deep sadness of families who are suffering the loss of a loved one.
There is something about our God to remember, especially during trying times that is so cool.
He loved us so much that He became one of us, human in every way.
Because he himself was tested through what he suffered, he is able to help those who are being tested. Hebrews 2:18
Jesus endured unimaginable racism by the Romans.
Jesus felt the deep sadness of losing Joseph, who raised Him as a son, John the Baptist who was His cousin, and Lazarus, a friend who was like a brother.
Jesus not only knows about things we all go through in life, but He knows exactly how they feel.
Talking to Jesus in prayer can bring such hope, healing, and strength because He literally gets us.
This coming Sunday we celebrate The Presentation of the Lord.
As was the Jewish custom, after a certain period of time, Joseph and Mary brought Jesus to the Temple to consecrate Him to the Lord.
That human little one, also God’s Son, who knows us so well…
Be blessed in that He really knows you!
