Eyes growing big as Christmas lights on the Christmas Tree and garland are turned on.
Squeals and giggles as they play.
Hearing “Wow!” as their faces are up against the car window as I drove past houses with lots of Christmas lights.
Cuddling under a blanket with popcorn while watching a movie.
Falling asleep on my couch.
I got to spend Saturday evening with my nephew and niece.
What a joy to spend time with them at my home, especially this time of year!
I keep smiling as I think about it.
Christmas is almost here.
I hope you can slow down and see the simple joy on the faces of the children around you.
I hope you can feel peace as you see their sleeping faces at night.
And I hope you feel the pure love in their hugs.
This coming Sunday, always the Sunday after Christmas, we celebrate the Holy Family.
Mary, Joseph, and the Christ Child.
He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them; and his mother kept all these things in her heart. Luke 2:51
Like Mary, we can keep all the holy moments of family time together in our hearts.
Christmas blessings!
