...not as foolish persons but as wise...

I seem to learn things the hard way. I must say that sentence at least once a week.
We have a new part time Administrative Assistant in the Faith Formation Office, so I am training her on things and said it.
I seem to learn things the hard way.
One I learn over and over the hard way is how to manage my stress and anxiety.
I find myself thinking, oh, I don’t have time today to do Morning Prayer.
I don’t have time to work out.
I don’t have time to take a dinner break.
Then I’m overwhelmed with stress! Lord, help me.
Brothers and sisters: Watch carefully how you live, not as foolish persons but as wise, making the most of the opportunity… Ephesians 5:15-16
I appreciate this gentle reminder through these words of Saint Paul of how to live- not foolishly letting go of all that is good for me, but wisely doing the things I know will ease stress and help me to thrive.
As you families are making the transition of kids going back to school, let God give you your gentle reminder through these words.
Blessings of living wisely!
