From December 25, 2023
Over 2000 years ago Jesus Christ was born and today we joyfully celebrate His birth!
“Let us go, then, to Bethlehem
to see this thing that has taken place,
which the Lord has made known to us.”
So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph,
and the infant lying in the manger.
When they saw this,
they made known the message
that had been told them about this child.
All who heard it were amazed
by what had been told them by the shepherds.
Luke 2:15b-18
I love the Christmas stories. In this Gospel story angels had told the shepherds about Jesus’ birth, then disappeared.
Can you imagine?!
Right away the shepherds go to find Mary, Joseph, and the Baby Jesus, which was a good walk back to town from the hills they were in with their sheep.
After they adored the Baby, they told others what happened and all who heard were amazed.
Can you just imagine?!
Put yourself there or imagine if today angels appeared to you to let you know Jesus has come back.
What would you do?
Listen.
Let yourself hear the angels telling you that Jesus is indeed here, waiting for you to come like the shepherds did thousands of years ago.
In the days of this Christmas week of 2023 listen, come to Jesus in a quiet moment, or come to a daily morning Mass, or stop by the Blessed Sacrament Chapel in the church.
He is here with love and peace.
Many Christmas blessings to you and your family from all of us in Faith Formation!
Christmas Love and Peace to You!
